CIOB flags concerns about covid ‘second wave’

The CIOB is inviting members and other construction professionals to get in touch about the impact of the covid-19 ‘second wave’ on their operations.

Since the pandemic struck in March, the Institute has worked closely with other trade bodies, including the Construction Leadership Council (CLC), to support the industry and help businesses to continue operating. The CLC’s Site Operating Procedures have been providing construction firms with guidance on how to keep projects moving since March.

However, with covid-19 infections and hospitalisations rising again, the CIOB is concerned about how this will be affecting construction companies and their staff.

Businesses or individuals who fear they will be affected by the covid second wave can contact the CIOB policy team via email at: [email protected].
