  1. The signifying of the acceptance that these outdated and to most alien employment practices are no longer unassailable is to be applauded. By the positive engagement of such things as the Members’ Forum we can be seen to be making a difference. Qatar is able to make itself into a viable and attractive destination if only it would see its self as such and not as a potential victim of some perceived threat of mass employee runaways. If the employee is well treated, paid fair wages and respected, why would he want to abscond? A willing workforce is worth so much more than a forced captive work force.
