  2. Fair point Andrew, but perhaps a bit harsh in this case? The building is the first of a number to occupy a large brownfield site formerly occupied by the Fed brewery, close to the football ground and other large modern buildings. I’m just an observer, but think there is room for an architectural statement here?

  3. Re: deft design- I’m not sure from this what makes for ‘deftness’, or deficiency thereof, although I do detect a certain ‘PR-ness’ in the blurb, e.g.:

    Contractor Bowmer & Kirkland used BIM to establish new standards for the university’s management of residual risk in future construction projects.

    Looks to me like a 21st Century building for the 21st Century.
