Construction firms are being offered free mental health first aid training in exchange for taking part in a study on its effects in the workplace.

The Centre for Mental Health is working with mental health awareness trainer Mental Health First Aid England and London South Bank University on a large-scale study into the benefits of mental health first aid training to employers, employees and those who experience poor mental health in the workplace.

Mental ill health is estimated to cost the equivalent of £1,300 for every person employed in every UK business.

The study will start in January 2020 and businesses are therefore being recruited to take part now.

If you are interested in taking part, click here for more information about being involved and here for further information about the study and contact Dr Graham Durcan by emailing [email protected].
