  1. It takes too long to gain access to the CITB grants for new start companies. According to company development advisors of the CITB, for newly levied companies they are unable to complete training and receive grant until after 1st August 2014.
Surely it would be better to get faster access to the grants for these small, new start companies? Responses from Judy Lowe would be greatly received.

  2. Its time the Industry woke up and spoke up about the CITB, they have been an appalling failure. The grants they offer, and they can’t give you a list of grants, barely cover the cost of completing the paperwork. If you read the minutes of their meetings they are quite pathetic. They are just an organization for organization’s sake, they are totally lacking in leadership but no doubt they are all on great pay packets and terms with gold plated pensions and will probably get OBE’s for services to the Construction Industry they have let down so badly. I despair at the standards across the Industry. Few people actually know what they are talking about especially the large contractors who operate on a blame culture not a knowledge culture. The only thing they know is how not to pay the subbies. All in all CITB is doing far too little and far too late!! What a travesty they are, but who would have the wherewithall to be bothered to sort them out? Perhaps the Government’s Construction Advisor might. The Minister for Construction certainly won’t.

What a poor state the industry is in!
